Socceroos striker Tom Rogic is edging closer to a return to action, with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers confirming the former Central Coast Mariner is back on the training field.
The 24-year-old was enjoying his best season for the Bhoys since his arrival from the A-League in 2014 before sustaining a serious ankle injury during a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle in December.
Rogic is already ruled out of this month's vital World Cup qualifiers against Iraq and the UAE but Rodgers confirmed on Thursday the frontman should be back in action before the end of the Scottish Premier League season.
"Tom Rogic is back out on the training field though still three or four weeks away," Rodgers said.
Rogic, who signed a new contract with the Scottish giants in August, has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season and been linked with a big-money move to Arsenal.
