Marcus Rashford scored just 135 seconds into his international debut to set up a 2-1 England win over Australia in Sunderland.

The highly rated Manchester United 18-year-old, starting in place of the injured Daniel Sturridge, scored with his first shot for England before Wayne Rooney doubled the lead 10 minutes after half time.

Socceroos first starter Milos Degenek thrust Australia back into the game barely two minutes after joining the fray from the substitutes bench, firing in a low cross that Eric Dier headed past his own goalkeeper, Fraser Forster.
